File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
 

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is the method in which you transfer documents to and from your domain.(Web Site)

We recommend using one of the many programs that are available for free or for purchase on the internet.


As an example we have provided you with an installation guide for a product called WS_FTP95LE. This is a reasonably simple FTP program that although doesn't have a very 'windows' look and feel it is fully functional.

Other programs such as CuteFTP are available and are just as good.

We suggest that if you find that you don't like one of the programs then download one of the many other free trial versions until you find one that you are happy using.

Generic FTP Settings


  • Host Name/Address = ftp.{domainname}.com - where {domainname} is your domain name.
  • User ID = {as supplied in your introduction email}
  • Password = {as supplied in your introduction email}
